The Cover Story
The Companion’s Guide
to the Turkish Coast
Where the Taurus mountains fall into the Mediterranean, a quieter kind of evening begins. This journal is written for the traveller who prefers conversation to crowds — a considered guide to refined companionship in Antalya and beyond, from the marina at Kaleiçi to the long pale sands of Lara. Read slowly. Choose well.

№ 01 — The City Index
Where the Journal Travels
Antalya
Featured City · 9 Profiles
The capital of the Turkish Riviera and the heart of this issue. Antalya rewards the unhurried: Ottoman lanes in Kaleiçi, dinner above the harbour as the lights come on, and evenings that end with the sound of water against the old Roman walls. Our companions here know the city's quiet corners — the meyhanes locals keep to themselves, the terraces with the best view of the gulf, the hour when Konyaaltı beach finally empties. This is the city we know best, and the one we recommend first.

The old capital — dinner in Beyoğlu, Bosphorus light, and conversation that outlasts the ferries.
A castle above the sea and a slower tempo — long lunches, harbour walks, evenings without agenda.
Aegean whitewash and yacht-week polish; companions here are fluent in gallery openings and quiet anchorages alike.
Pine forest to the shoreline — a resort town best enjoyed with someone who knows when to leave the resort.
№ 02 — Antalya
The Featured Companions
Nine portraits from the featured city, arranged as an index. Each companion is presented in her own words and ours — read as you would a page of a magazine, and write directly when one stays with you.

Z
Zeynep 28
Lara · Antalya
Zeynep reads more than anyone we know and argues about films beautifully. She grew up between Antalya and Ankara, studied literature, and treats a long dinner as a form of art. Expect quick humour, unhurried conversation, and a memory for everything you mention in passing.

M
Mira 24
Konyaaltı · Antalya
A swimmer before she is anything else, Mira knows every quiet cove along the western cliffs. She is easy company in daylight — coffee, a walk along the promenade — and sharper still after dark, when her dry wit tends to surprise people who underestimated her.

K
Katya 31
Lara · Antalya
Katya came from St. Petersburg eight years ago and never left. She speaks four languages, dresses like a gallery opening, and is the companion our readers request for formal evenings — opera, hotel dinners, events where poise matters. Off duty, she prefers small wine bars and long arguments about architecture.

E
Eylül 26
Belek · Antalya
Named after September, Eylül suits the month — warm, golden, slightly wistful. She plays classical guitar, cooks better than most restaurants in Belek, and believes the best evenings involve a shared meal and nowhere else to be. A natural choice for a first evening in the city.

A
Anya 23
Konyaaltı · Antalya
The youngest of this issue's portraits, Anya studies design by day and sketches strangers in cafés. She is curious about everyone and discreet about everything — a combination rarer than it sounds. Best suited to relaxed afternoons that drift, pleasantly, into evening.

S
Sude 29
Side · Antalya
Sude grew up among the ruins of Side and can walk you through two thousand years without once sounding like a guide. She is thoughtful, softly spoken, and happiest at a table by the water with grilled fish and a bottle of something local. History buffs will leave smitten.

Polina 33
Lara · Antalya
Polina spent a decade in hotel management before choosing a freer life, and it shows — she is immaculate in every social setting and unflappable in all of them. Reserved at first, genuinely funny within the hour. Our most requested companion for multi-day arrangements.

Hazal 25
Kemer · Antalya
Hazal hikes the Lycian Way sections most visitors only photograph, and she will happily lead you up a trail before lunch. She is spirited, direct, and allergic to pretension — the companion for travellers who want their evening to have a pulse.

V
Vera 34
Belek · Antalya
Vera closes our index the way a final chapter should — composed, assured, and quietly captivating. A former ballet dancer, she carries herself like music and listens like a confidante. She prefers established gentlemen, advance arrangements, and evenings planned with care.

№ 04 — Etiquette
Principles of the House
- Discretion, always. What is arranged privately remains private. We ask the same of our readers as of our companions.
- Punctuality is respect. An evening agreed for eight begins at eight. If plans change, write early and honestly.
- Arrangements in advance. Companions set their own terms and schedules. Confirm details by message before meeting, never after.
- Courtesy is the whole point. Kindness, cleanliness, and good conversation are not extras — they are the admission price.
- Adults only. This journal, and everyone in it, is strictly 18+. We do not respond to messages that suggest otherwise.
